Autism Spectrum Disorders can impact siblings in a multitude of ways. Coming to terms with the diagnosis, feeling left out, feeling guilty or feeling angry are a few examples. Siblings may act out in ways they did not used to. They may unexpectedly struggle at school or in social situations when they did not before. Sometimes siblings just want someone to chat with about their concerns, problems or questions. Other times they may want to meet other siblings from other families who are going through similar situations.
We can tailor support for siblings as needed. Whether an ongoing basis or a single-sessions as needed, Foundations Counseling and BPI are here to help.
